When President Bush took office last year there were 82 judicial vacancies. In his first year as president he nominated 66 judges to fill those vacancies. Only 28 were confirmed. Now ther are 95 vacancies, leaving over 12 percent of federal judgeships wide-open. Will these statistics improve anytime soon? Not if last week was any indication. Bush's other nominees are likely to receive the same lynching that Judge Charles Pickering has been getting from Congress and liberal women's groups. Plus, the debate over cloning is about to heat up in the Senate again. What can you do? Listen in!
