Listen | More on this broadcast
On August 3rd, 2001, eight missionaries were taken hostage in Afghanistan, including two Americans. After three months under Taliban imprisonment, they were finally rescued by U.S. special forces. In a new book just released, American missionaries Heather Mercer and Dayna Curry tell of their experience, what kept them sane, and why, in their eyes, the chapter on Afghanistan is not yet closed for them. They´ll share their story in today's edition of Concerned Women Today.
