Kerry Campaign Religious Liaison Backed Newdow’s Pledge Suit

Rev. Brenda Bartella Peterson was named the Democratic National Committee’s new advisor for religious outreach on July 23. She is also among three dozen religious leaders who supported atheist Michael Newdow’s efforts to remove the phrase “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance. Dr. Janice Crouse, spokeswoman for the Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee has more on this story and what it might mean for Democrat efforts to reach out to religious voters.
