Why Do People Use Pornography?

Listen | More on this broadcast

Rory C. Reid
Licensed psychotherapist Rory C. Reid, MSW explains the pull of pornography; why people use it, how they become addicted and why it doesn’t ultimately address their real needs. This insightful presentation was given at the 2004 Impact America Conference on June 12 in Louisville, Kentucky. It will help you spot and understand the early stages of this sexual addiction and encourage someone you love to get help.

Rory Reid treats impulse control disorders involving pornography and cybersex. In addition to his clinical work at the Salt Lake City Counseling Center, he teaches in the Religion Department of Brigham Young University, and is the coauthor of “Discussing Pornography Problems with a Spouse.”
