"Genocide has been committed in Darfur," Secretary of State Colin Powell

Secretary Powell called for the international community to come together and take action against "all violations of international humanitarian law and human rights" that have occurred in the Sudan. "We in the international community must intensify our efforts to help those imperiled by violence, starvation and disease in Dafrur," he said.
