Revised Salvation Army Kettle Totals (:27)

Listen | More on this broadcast

Reports continue to trickle in from the approximately 1500 Salvation Army units in the nation. Along with units holding their drives open longer hoping to meet their annual goal, there are others having to auction off diamond rings or gold coins before a final accounting can be submitted. There is good news in that delay! Major George Hood, national spokesman for the Salvation Army, called CWA from the road with this update on the 2004 red kettle drive.
