Christ in Christmas

Isn’t it strange at Christmastime
          To say,
“Keep Christ in Christmas —
          Don’t turn the Lord away.”

Christ is in Christmas
          He is here to stay.
Though men today … may
          Keep themselves away.

From the glory of God’s gift.
          From the love that casts out sin
From the miracle of Christmas
          … the miracle within.

Like the keeper of the Inn
          That the Bible tells about
He closed his door and left
          Himself, not Christ, without.
