Support for Israel

Concerned Women for America through its Board of Trustees has established Support for Israel as one of its seven core issues on which we focus our efforts. Below, please find a few very basic verses that describe the Biblical support we find for our focus on this issue, as taken from our Core Issues: Biblical Foundations document. We also include our concerns on this issue, followed by the goals set forth to reverse the devastating trends in our society, as taken from our Concerns and Goals document.

Support for Israel

"I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." (Genesis 12:3)

We as Christians are called to pray for the peace of Israel. (Psalm 122)

The Abrahamic Covenant between God and the Jewish people giving them their land rights is unconditional and everlasting. (Genesis 12:1-3, 13:14-18, 15:1-21, 17:4-8, 22:15-18, 26:1-5, and Psalm 89:28-37)

Iraq: The Facts8/20/2014

The U.N. Security Council recently declared the Iraqi conflict a “Level 3 Emergency.” With all the articles and pictures in the news, if you are not a foreign policy guru, it can be hard to grasp the overall picture when it comes to the conflict in Iraq. However, it’s crucial that we educate ourselves on […]  READ MORE

The Difference is Night and Day7/18/2014

Every day our television screens and computers are flooded with pictures portraying the conflict in the Middle East. As Americans, we are upset by the casualties and concerned about the loss of innocent lives — but compassion is nothing without action, and we must respond by protecting our ally Israel. It’s important that we as […]  READ MORE

“Red Alert” – Rockets fly in Israel7/9/2014

An alarm goes off on a cell phone in the middle of the night; it was sent from an app, “Red Alert,” warning of incoming rocket fire. This is currently a reality for our friends in Israel where more than 200 rockets have recently rained down. It’s just another way that Israel has engaged in […]  READ MORE

Israeli and Palestinian Mothers Set the Tone in the Middle East7/9/2014

“Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us,” former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir powerfully stated. The world is seeing this truth played out. After weeks of tireless searching for three Israeli teens kidnapped by Hamas, two countries and three families now face the bitter reality of just […]  READ MORE

Palestinian Hatred on Display7/1/2014

On Monday, it ended as we feared it would. Reports surfaced that the Israeli Defense Force had discovered the lifeless bodies of Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaar and Naftali Frankel, the three Israeli teenagers kidnapped a little over two weeks ago. Our hearts go out to the families. We urge prayers of comfort for them during […]  READ MORE

Demonstrate Support for Kidnapped Israeli Teenagers6/19/2014

Today marks one week since three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist group — something Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel knows for a fact. Yesterday, Members of Congress stood alongside Ron Dermer, the Ambassador of Israel to the United States, and tied three yellow ribbons to an embassy tree to demonstrate U.S. […]  READ MORE

Eighty-Eight Senators Stand for Israel6/13/2014

In late April, Israel made the decision to suspend peace talks with the Palestinians when the divided factions of Palestine — Fatah in the West Bank and Hamas from the Gaza Strip, which has continuously attacked Israel — announced plans for a unified government. Now, in a letter of “grave concern,” 88 senators spanning both […]  READ MORE

Idiots Unleashed, the Student Version5/19/2014

Two recent news items reek of hatred, bigotry, and intolerance, and they have nothing to do with the NFL or the NBA. They have to do with students and religion. First up are the members of Harvard’s Extension Cultural Studies Club who came up with the abhorrent idea of holding a “black mass” for educational purposes. This […]  READ MORE

Kerry Mistakes Israel for South Africa4/30/2014

Yesterday, on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Secretary of State John Kerry  commented at the Trilateral Commission that Israel could become an “apartheid state” if diplomatic talks to reach a peaceful Israeli-Palestinian two-state solution fails. That statement left many of us slack-jawed.  Sec. Kerry’s comments are wildly irresponsible. He is a man of significance […]  READ MORE
