Increasingly, the rights of parents to oversee the education and upbringing of their children are being undermined. We routinely hear of it happening overseas and examples are starting to pop up in U.S. court due to activist judges. Rep. Pete Hoekstra, R- Michigan, says that now is the time to reinforce and solidify the rights of parents in the U.S. Constitution, before the courts and international law, through the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), erode yet another of our God-given rights. Rep. Hoekstra has re-introduced the Parental Rights Amendment, House Joint Resolution 42 (formerly H.J. Res. 97). He discusses with CWA President Wendy Wright the need for this Constitutional amendment and what pro-family citizens can do to help pass this measure. Listen | Download
