CWA Updates Naughty and Nice List      12/14/2005

Washington, D.C.—Concerned Women for America (CWA) has updated its Christmas list showing which businesses are embracing the true meaning of Christmas, which are not, and which are middle-of-the-road.

“We are encouraged that some stores are finally getting the message that they need to once again embrace Christmas,” said Robert Knight, Director of CWA’s Culture & Family Institute. “It seems that people understand the importance more and more as Christmas Day grows closer. ‘Happy Holidays’ and ‘holiday tree’ just don’t cut it anymore.

“We are very encouraged by the reaction of retailers across the country. Christian consumers have expressed their desire for merchants to recognize the reason their stores are full of business at this time of year. As such, we’re adjusting our list to reflect the positive moves by some retailers. Those moving up are in bold type. We will continue to monitor and update as needed. Merry Christmas!”
